We are licensed to render the following services:
We Are Dedicated to Helping Families and Individuals to Live Healthier, More Productive Lives Miami-Dade Community Services, Inc. began operating as an outpatient substance abuse facility in January of 2001, duly licensed by the Department of Children and Families as such. Since the beginning we have provided services to individuals in Miami-Dade County suffering from addictions and other behavioral problems. We also conduct drug use test to verify compliance with Court requirements. These individuals have been referred to us by Dade County Drug Court, TASC, Department of Correction and Probation, Department of Children and Families, Metro Traffic School, The Advocate Program and the Criminal Justice System, as well as private medical institutions, individual physicians and others. In the last years we have integrated more services to our facility and are licensed for different levels of care by the Department of Children and Families, such as Intensive Outpatient and Day and Evening Treatment. Primary Addiction Treatment for Adult Men and Women consists of a continuum of care including intensive outpatient treatment. Individuals are assessed and placed at any appropriate stage of recovery process. Our out patient program consists of group and individual substance abuse and relapse prevention for individuals who may be referred by family, employer, private insurance, government or the justice system The multilingual program provides a culturally competent out patient substance abuse treatment for Hispanic and Haitian individuals, who do not speak English. The goal of this program is to reduce the incidence and prevalence of alcohol and other drug use while increasing the psychosocial functioning of non-English speaking men and women. Convenient weekend and evening schedules are available for individual or group therapy. We can also provide medical treatment for heroin and narcotic analgesics. We work in partnership with Court assistance programs, and other entities to assure continuity of treatment for clients. Clients will also receive the benefit of our reports to the Court regarding their progress in the program. Our court liaison staff has much experience with the criminal justice system. Our team members are licensed professionals and our treatment is individualized to meet the needs of clients. We offer treatment in English and Spanish. Soon, we will have service in Creole also; so that we can serve all sectors of our community. The achievements of Miami-Dade Community Services have been recognized by the Circuit Court of the State of Florida, Eleventh Judicial Circuit. We are aware of the societal and personal problems cause by drug use and addiction in our community. By providing effective prevention and treatment for substance abuse and dependency, Miami-Dade Community Services is contributing to make our region a healthier and safer place to live and improving the quality of life of our diverse community.
